Softball Recap: Tri-Valley Beats Philo for Their Sixth Straight Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-Valley). They put the hurt on the Philo Electrics with a sharp 14-4 victory on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Scotties sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Ashlyn Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alivia Reffitt, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Paiton Murphy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Reffitt wasn't the only one making solid contact: Tri-Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Tri-Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Philo, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Tri-Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Electrics: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
