Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Hornets vs. Harrison Wildcats

Monroe and Harrison are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Monroe Hornets will host the Harrison Wildcats at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Monroe was able to grind out a solid victory over Madison, taking the game 31-19. That 12 point margin sets a new team best for the Hornets this season.

Meanwhile, Harrison put another one in the bag last Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Ross 34-32. The 34-point effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Monroe better keep an eye on Alli Robertson. She was instrumental in Harrison's win, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards. Robertson's afternoon made it 25 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Seiter, who posted five points.

Harrison pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
