Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lafayette walked away with it. Everything went their way against the New Hope Trojans on Friday as they made off with a 10-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Commodores, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Lafayette is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for New Hope, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lafayette beat the Trojans by a score of 5-0 later that day.
