Baseball Recap: Unionville's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Unionville was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Sun Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Unionville fell just short of the Downingtown East Cougars by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Jake Daly made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Unionville fell to 3-1. As for Downingtown East, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Unionville is set to square off against their familiar foe Bishop Shanahan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Downingtown East will face off against rival Downingtown West at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
