After a string of four wins, Escondido Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the La Jolla Country Day Torreys by a score of 3-2. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Torreys apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Escondido Charter's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5-2. As for La Jolla Country Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5-2 record this season.
