After flying high against Shelby last Thursday, East Gaston came back down to earth. The East Gaston Warriors fell just short of the Stuart W. Cramer Storm by a score of 7-5 on Monday. East Gaston has not had much luck with Stuart W. Cramer recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Jordan McCorkle was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in the last three games she's played. Lilyan Helms was another key contributor, going 3-for-3 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double.

On Stuart W. Cramer's side, Hadley Womack made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Womack was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
