Volleyball Recap: McEachern Indians vs. Central Lions
McEachern was the 2-0 winner over Central when they last played one another back in September of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions on Tuesday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The final score came out to 25-17, 25-8.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Kreft, who had four digs and two aces. Kreft is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Julianna Johnston, who had ten digs and three assists.
McEachern's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Central, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
Looking ahead, McEachern will take on Walton in a tournament on Saturday. As for Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dalton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
