Wausa/Osmond will square off against the Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wausa/Osmond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 32.2 points per game this season.
Wausa/Osmond lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Niobrara/Verdigre, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. Wausa/Osmond breezed past Niobrara/Verdigre to the tune of 64-20 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Wausa/Osmond considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

Wausa/Osmond relied on the efforts of Matthew Schindler, who gained 228 total yards and four touchdowns, and Mac Carlson, who rushed for 127 yards and four TDs on only 12 carries. The dominant performance also gave Schindler a new career-high in rushing yards (193). Lincoln Thorell was another key player, picking up 67 receiving yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wausa/Osmond was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 405 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 164 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] entered their tilt with Elkhorn Valley on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 24-6.
Wausa/Osmond better keep an eye on Ethan Kester. He was instrumental in Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s win, rushing for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Kester's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Preston Watson with 2.5. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 5.5 sacks on the season.
Wausa/Osmond's record now sits at 7-1. As for Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard], their record is now 6-2.
Thursday's game might be decided on the ground. Wausa/Osmond has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 265.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 208.1 rushing yards.
