Basketball Recap: SEED DC Takes a Loss

SEED DC has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 55-48 to SEED on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to SEED DC of the 57-45 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why SEED DC lost, don't look at Noah Mercer. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 16 on his way to 20 points and four steals. The matchup was Mercer's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zeadon Myles, who posted five points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

SEED DC's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for SEED, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

SEED DC won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Capital City Public Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. SEED DC is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season. As for SEED, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coppin Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 19th.
