Topsail is 8-2 against South Brunswick since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will be playing at home against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Topsail's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ashley, sneaking past 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Topsail's disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 69th, while Ashley are ranked seventh).

Topsail's one-goal win came courtesy of Emma Frazelle, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, South Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to Hoggard.

South Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-3. As for Topsail, they now have a winning record of 6-5-5.

Topsail was able to grind out a solid victory over South Brunswick in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 2-0. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
