Recap: Lima Christian Saints vs. Honeoye Bulldogs
The Lima Christian Saints waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They secured a 30-24 W over Honeoye. Given Lima Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Honeoye is ranked 447th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lima Christian found their leader in underclassman Alyssa Marsh, who dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 18 rebounds, and 11 steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Marsh has scored at least a third of Lima Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Herring, who scored five points.
Lima Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Honeoye, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lima Christian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Jasper-Troupsburg at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th. Honeoye will take on Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
