Recap: Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS vs. King's Academy Knights
The Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS pushed their score all the way to 35 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to King's Academy 41-35. Hillsdale has struggled against King's Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Hillsdale's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Erick Waugh, who threw for 432 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 16.6 yards per attempt, and Jack Haywood who picked up 169 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Haywood's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. Drew Rollolazo also helped out as he racked up 128 receiving yards.
Jeaden Underwood was a one-man wrecking crew for King's Academy as he rushed for 229 yards and five touchdowns. King's Academy also got help from Grant Shanafelt who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.
Hillsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for King's Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Hillsdale will look to defend their home field on Friday against Aragon at 7:00 p.m. Aragon is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for King's Academy, they will challenge Palo Alto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Palo Alto is ranked 394th, while King's Academy is ranked 379th).
