Basketball Recap: Dolores Takes a Loss

Dolores was the 59-57 winner over Ouray when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Dolores Bears fell 49-39 to the Ouray Trojans on Friday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Cavan Pasek, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 25 rebounds for Ouray. The contest was Pasek's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Wesley Rhoades, who went 5 for 12 en route to 12 points.

Dolores' loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Ouray, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Dolores will host Sargent at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dolores is facing Sargent at the right time seeing as Sargent is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Ouray, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-25 win against Mancos on the 8th.
