Volleyball Game Preview: Riverview Sharks vs. Steinbrenner Warriors + How To Watch

Riverview hasn't had much luck against Steinbrenner recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Tuesday, Riverview didn't have quite enough to beat Plant City and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Riverview sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-10.

Riverview might have lost, but man, Nicollette Haya was a machine: she had 24 assists and 11 digs.

Meanwhile, Steinbrenner suffered their biggest defeat since August 26th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Plant. The Warriors have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

While Steinbrenner was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Plant's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.

Riverview now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Steinbrenner, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Riverview came up short against Steinbrenner in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Sharks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
