Colton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 20-14 to the Salem Academy Crusaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Colton of the 12-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.

Katelynn Kimsey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Chayse Smith, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
