Basketball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin lost against El Reno on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Elgin Owls were dealt an 80-52 defeat at the hands of the El Reno Indians. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Indians are ranked 23rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Elgin and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for El Reno, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Elgin has already played their next contest (against Purcell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. El Reno has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Mustang.
