Baseball Recap: Park Crossing Takes a Loss

Park Crossing lost against Russell County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Park Crossing lost 21-9 to Russell County. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

C MAYO, JR was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was J GREEN, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Park Crossing was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Park Crossing's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Russell County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-10.

While Park Crossing had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
