Baseball Recap: Round Rock Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Round Rock Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the New Braunfels Thunder Homeschool. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Homeschool apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jesse Wehba was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Round Rock Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-5 when he doesn't). Ethan Leverenz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Round Rock Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for New Braunfels Thunder, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Round Rock Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-9 win against Grace Academy on the 13th. As for New Braunfels Thunder, they have also already played their next match, an 8-6 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 14th.
