Basketball Recap: Bradford Takes Down Palatka in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bradford walked away with it. They blew past the Palatka Panthers 52-30 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tornadoes have posted since January 10th.

Bradford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maliki Cobarris out in front who went 5 for 10 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Cobarris a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Cason, who posted ten points.

Bradford is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Palatka, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-20.

Bradford will challenge Newberry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Newberry sitting on 21 straight wins and Bradford on three. Palatka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
