The Charlotte Catholic Cougars will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the South Mecklenburg Sabres at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Charlotte Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three matchups.

On Friday, Charlotte Catholic strolled past Kings Mountain with points to spare, taking the game 70-52.

Meanwhile, South Mecklenburg played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 71-41 defeat at the hands of New Hanover. The Sabres were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-18.

Charlotte Catholic's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for South Mecklenburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Charlotte Catholic beat South Mecklenburg 68-61 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
