Softball Recap: East Rockingham Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, East Rockingham was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Rockbridge County Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 6-0.

East Rockingham's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Rockbridge County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Rockingham will square off against Broadway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockbridge County, they will be playing at home against Turner Ashby at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
