Soccer Game Preview: Christ the King vs. Pine Lake Prep

The Christ the King Crusaders will head out to challenge the Pine Lake Prep Pride at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, Christ the King was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln Charter, taking the game 4-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Christ the King's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Lincoln Charter are ranked 304th).

Meanwhile, Pine Lake Prep entered their tilt with Corvian Community on Wednesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over the Cardinals. Considering Pine Lake Prep have won ten matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Corvian Community with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Peyton Peterson (3), Mara Sweeney, Victoria Christiansen, and Allie De Esch.

Christ the King's record is now 12-3-1. As for Pine Lake Prep, their record now sits at 13-2.
