Baseball Recap: Houston Academy Takes a Loss

Houston Academy blew Ariton out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Ariton got their revenge. Houston Academy fell just short of Ariton by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since February 15th.

Gabe Glover was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Houston Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Ariton, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houston Academy will square off against New Brockton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
