Football Game Preview: Frankston Indians vs. De Leon Bearcats + How To Watch

The Frankston Indians will challenge the De Leon Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frankston knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully De Leon likes a good challenge.

Frankston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Bosqueville 69-29. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won nine contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Bo Donnell and Michael Bryant. Donnell rushed for 258 yards and five scores on only 15 carries while Bryant rushed for 238 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. Another player making a difference was Carson Bizzell, who rushed for 84 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Frankston was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 640 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bosqueville only rushed for 92.

Meanwhile, De Leon sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-28 victory over Wolfe City on Friday. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Wolves are ranked 710th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

De Leon's win came from a few key players Frankston will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Colt Schwertner, who rushed for 69 yards and one TD. Max Jones got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Frankston's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 31.3 points thus far. As for De Leon, their record is now 8-3.
