Softball Recap: Monroe County Comes Up Short

Monroe County lost against Southwestern back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons came up short against the Warriors, falling 9-3. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monroe County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Gee, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Monroe County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18-1. As for Southwestern, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Monroe County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwestern, they will head out on the road to challenge Perry County Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
