Baseball Recap: Canon-McMillan Takes a Loss

If Canon-McMillan was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Baldwin on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Big Macs took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bethel Park Black Hawks on Thursday. The Big Macs have struggled against the Black Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Sebastian Shulsky was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Canon-McMillan's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Bethel Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
