Recap: Coahoma County Red Panthers vs. Palmer Dragons
The Coahoma County Red Panthers came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 38-15 margin over Palmer. Coahoma County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Caitlin Hall, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Hall is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Julianna Hartford, who scored 2 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Coahoma County pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Palmer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coahoma County will challenge Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Greenville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. As for Palmer, they will head out on the road to face off against Leflore County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
