If incoming freshmen are mostly foreign to high school football fans, to college coaches they are anything but.

The trend of early recruiting has hardly slowed, and the Class of 2018 is already well-known on the recruiting front.

Take Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, Fla.) defensive back Tyreke Johnson.

He earned varsity minutes as a seventh-grader for the private school powerhouse and, just a few months later, had scholarship offers.

Fellow Class of 2018 standout Jahlen Jack, whose brother Myles starred at UCLA last season, also earned an offer as a seventh-grader. Nearly two years later and now an incoming freshman at Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, Wash.), he has still yet to play a down of varsity football.

This class also features the token blue-chip quarterback committed to an elite program before entering high school in Zadock Dinkelmann, an impressive signal-caller who has given a verbal pledge to LSU.

The group features the younger brothers of former (and in some cases, current) top recruits like Marlon Humphrey, Myles Jack, De'Andre Johnson and Equanimeous St. Brown, among others.

New names will emerge, and some current stars will fade. However it's clear that even before it makes its high school debut, the class of 2018 has a very bright future.
