Basketball Recap: Elkhart Wildcats vs. Syracuse Bulldogs
The Elkhart Wildcats won the last time they faced the Syracuse Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Elkhart took down the Bulldogs 53-37.
Elkhart got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camila Garcia out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garcia has scored all season. Bella Brillhart was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Elkhart's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. As for Syracuse, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Elkhart will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. As for Syracuse, they will head out on the road to face off against the Jackrabbits at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Greeley County is ranked 211th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 201st).
