Wayne suffers 13th straight loss on the road

Recap: Wayne Pioneers vs. Tug Valley Panthers
On Saturday, Wayne came up short against Tug Valley and fell 63-54.
Wayne's loss came despite strong showings from Isaac Meddings and Cooper Adkins. Meddings scored 20 points along with seven rebounds, while Adkins scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The matchup was Meddings' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Kaiden Hayton was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Wayne's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for Tug Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Wayne's road trip will continue as they head out to face Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. As for Tug Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Logan Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
