Basketball Preview: North Ridgeville Rangers vs. Midview Middies
North Ridgeville and Midview are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The North Ridgeville Rangers will head out to take on the Midview Middies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midview took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on North Ridgeville, who comes in off a win.
North Ridgeville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They secured an 87-82 W over Brookside on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rangers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Midview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Berea-Midpark and fell 77-38. While losing is never fun, the Middies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 718th, while the Titans are ranked 217th).
North Ridgeville will have to contain Brady Newton as he made an impact in Midview's last game. He went 6 for 14 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brennen Newton, who posted five points.
