Eastern Lebanon County is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They will host the Donegal Indians at 4:15 p.m. Donegal took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastern Lebanon County, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Eastern Lebanon County beat York Suburban 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.
Braden Gettle was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Austin Smith, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Gavin Bicher was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Donegal and Elizabethtown, and Elizabethtown kept the tradition alive. The Indians came up short against the Bears on Friday, falling 13-7.
Sawyer Floyd was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Donegal is 4-1 when Floyd posts two or more stolen bases, but 0-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Bailey, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Donegal's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for Eastern Lebanon County, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Eastern Lebanon County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Donegal struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
