Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Graves County

Graves County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Calloway County Lakers by a score of 59-50. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lakers, too.

Despite the loss, Calloway County still got an impressive performance from Jaidan Koch, who went 8 for 11 on her way to 22 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Koch has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sayler Lowe, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Graves County's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Calloway County, they moved to 3-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Graves County will venture away from home to face off against Christian County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Calloway County, they will host Father Ryan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Calloway County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season.
