Baseball Recap: River Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wisconsin Heights on Tuesday, River Valley came back down to earth. The Blackhawks fell just short of the Richland Center Hornets by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Blackhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Richland Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. River Valley will take on rival Platteville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Richland Center is set to face off against their familiar foe Prairie du Chien at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
