Football Game Preview: Summit Christian Academy Eagles vs. Woodland Cougars

The Summit Christian Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Woodland Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Summit Christian Academy lost to Barnsdall at home by a 29-15 margin. The Eagles have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Summit Christian Academy might have lost, but man, Jonathan Logan was a machine: he rushed for 51 yards and two TDs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Woodland, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 70-22 victory over Afton. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Summit Christian Academy better keep an eye on Jaston Terry. He was instrumental in Woodland's win, rushing for 148 yards and three scores on only seven carries, while also catching one touchdown. Terry's longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Woodland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Woodland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points over those games. As for Summit Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
