Basketball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Drops Highest Score of Season Against South Dearborn

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jac-Cen-Del). They came out on top against the South Dearborn Knights by a score of 60-53 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Jac-Cen-Del got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kelsey Borgman out in front who shot 7-for-12 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine boards. Those 25 points gave Borgman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Cullen, who went 6 of 11 en route to 15 points.

Jac-Cen-Del was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Jac-Cen-Del's record now sits at 2-5. As for South Dearborn, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Jac-Cen-Del wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-38 win against Waldron on the 10th. South Dearborn has also already played their next game, a 90-22 defeat against Greensburg on the 12th.
