Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin lost against Independence back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Admirals came up short against the Eagles, falling 8-2. The Admirals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Franklin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Bennett, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 2-14-1. As for Independence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Franklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Independence, they will venture away from home to challenge Columbia Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
