It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Mission Veterans Memorial ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies 3-1. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Gabriel Cantu was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Abel Garza was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Mission Veterans Memorial hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Juarez-Lincoln struck out nine times.

Mission Veterans Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Juarez-Lincoln, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-18.

Mission Veterans Memorial will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Huskies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
