Basketball Recap: New Albany Bulldogs vs. Bedford North Lawrence Stars
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the New Albany Bulldogs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by the Stars on the road and fell 58-24. New Albany's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it eight in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bedford North Lawrence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madisyn Bailey, who scored 18 points along with six steals. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Spreen, who scored 20 points along with three blocks.
New Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Bedford North Lawrence, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.
New Albany does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bedford North Lawrence will square off against the Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Silver Creek will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
