Edgewood has gone a perfect 8-0 against Greencastle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs will head out to take on the Tiger Cubs at 5:30 p.m. Greencastle took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Edgewood, who comes in off a win.
Greencastle will be up against a hot Edgewood squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Mustangs' way against South Putnam on Wednesday as they made off with a 10-0 win.

Edgewood got a massive performance out of Gunnar Perry, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave Perry a new career-high. Braxton Carpenter also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Edgewood hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Greencastle's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Monrovia by a score of 9-8.
Treyten Clark put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Bryton Gregg led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Nathan Sutherlin, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Greencastle, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 8-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Edgewood has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Greencastle struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Edgewood skirted past Greencastle 6-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
