Football Recap: Plainfield East Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

If Plainfield Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Plainfield East, they should've done a better job of containing David Croom. The Bengals claimed a resounding 53-7 win over the Wildcats thanks in part to Croom, who rushed for 180 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries. He is becoming a predictor of Plainfield East's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Plainfield East didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Liam Callaghan, Dinari Overton, and Mj Koutsky picked up one apiece. Overton got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory (which was Plainfield East's third in a row) raised their record to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.7 points over those games. As for Plainfield Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

As of now, neither Plainfield East nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
