Football Game Preview: Speedway Sparkplugs vs. Indian Creek Braves

The Speedway Sparkplugs will head out to face off against the Indian Creek Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Speedway comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Friday, Speedway had to suffer through a 46-13 loss at the hands of Beech Grove. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Sparkplugs have suffered against the Hornets since September 1, 2017.

The losing side was boosted by Logan Moore, who threw for 99 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Indian Creek might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Triton Central who claimed the real prize. The Braves fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 17-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Speedway's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Indian Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Things could have been worse for Speedway, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-21 loss to Indian Creek when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Can the Sparkplugs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
