Clarksville Christian waltzed into their match on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They skirted past the Christian Community Colts 7-5. For the Centurions, this counts as revenge for the 10-9 victory the Colts walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Anna Cheasty was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Clarksville Christian let Reese Cocke and Bella Mansfield run wild. Cocke went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Mansfield went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Yaraseth Cecilio, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Clarksville Christian's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Christian Community, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Clarksville Christian and Christian Community will both be playing Zion Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Colts will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Centurions will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
