Cardozo entered their tilt with Far Rockaway on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They slipped by the Far Rockaway Seahorses 56-55. Given the Judges' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Seahorses are ranked 665th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cardozo is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Far Rockaway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cardozo will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Forest Hills at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Far Rockaway, they will face off against Xaverian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Far Rockaway knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Xaverian likes a good challenge.
