Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Morgan Park Academy Warriors by a score of 57-50. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jalen Amos led the charge by putting up 15 points and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Derrion Williams, who posted 16 points and four steals.

Morgan Park Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ade Denton-Vance, who went 6-for-11 en route to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks. Denton-Vance has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Ivan Fullilove was another key player, earning ten points and six assists.

Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Morgan Park Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park will head out to take on Mansueto at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Morgan Park Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against British International School of Chicago at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
