Basketball Game Preview: Monache Marauders vs. Lynwood Knights

The Monache Marauders will challenge the Lynwood Knights at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Monache humbled Redwood with a 73-33 victory. Given the Marauders' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Rangers are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lynwood entered their tilt with Downey on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their match with ease, bagging a 56-24 win over the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Knights have posted against the Vikings since April 30, 2021.

Lynwood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Monache, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
