Basketball Recap: Hardy Fraze's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Elida over Dora

Elida lost against Dora back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Elida Tigers took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dora Coyotes. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elida's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hardy Fraze, who posted eight points.

Elida's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-8. As for Dora, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Elida will face off against Gateway Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Elida is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. As for Dora, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Arthur at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Dora has lost five straight at home , while Lake Arthur has lost three on the road.
