Baseball Recap: Peoria Heights Takes a Loss

Peoria Heights made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Knoxville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Patriots fell just short of the Blue Bullets by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Patriots have struggled against the Blue Bullets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Peoria Heights saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Sherlock, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Sherlock has brought in this season.

Peoria Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Knoxville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Looking ahead, Peoria Heights will face off against Macomb at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Knoxville, they will square off against Orion at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blue Bullets surely won't give up without a fight.
