Volleyball Recap: Trinity Collegiate Comes Up Short

Trinity Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the John Paul II Golden Warrriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Warrriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

While Trinity Collegiate was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into John Paul II's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 26-24.

Trinity Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for John Paul II, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-9-2.

Trinity Collegiate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Laurence Manning Academy on the 20th. As for John Paul II, they will challenge Palmetto Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
