Volleyball Recap: LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls vs. Lake Placid Dragons
LaBelle's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lake Placid Dragons. That's more bragging rights for the Cowboys/Cowgirls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
LaBelle walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11, 20-25, 25-21.
Despite the loss, Lake Placid still got an impressive performance from Emily Tharp, who had 14 digs. Tharp is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
LaBelle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Lake Placid, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.
LaBelle will venture away from home to face off against Charlotte at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. LaBelle is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Lake Placid, they will take on Avon Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
